Indo Rama is certified for environment management under ISO 14001:2004, as per the requirements of which it has established and maintained an Environment Management System (EMS) and has developed its own 'Environment Policy'.

The implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Management System, as per the requirements of OSHAS 18001: 1999, is under progress.

Safety
Safety of the plant and its employees continues to be high on the agenda of the Company, which has a full-fledged Safety Department to ensure the best international-level safety standards. Through a systematic approach to safety and activation of programmes involving people, the Company has scaled the highest of standards in this area. The Company today has one of the highest levels of industrial safety management systems in the country.

Health
An integral function of all activities at Indo Rama, health and hygiene has always been on the Company's list of priorities.

Indo Rama's plant at Butibori has a full-fledged health centre with well-qualified doctors and nursing staff, equipped with ambulance and other facilities, which provide 24x7x365 medical assistance to employees, their families, contractors and the local community at large.

Periodic health check-ups of employees, and providing guidance on matters of health, diets and exercise, are some of the other key functions of the health centre.

Environment
Environmental protection is more than a commitment at Indo Rama. It is a mission that is engrained into the psyche of every member of the Indo Rama family. Every function, every process and every operation at Indo Rama is wrapped in a system of environmental protection techniques and measures of the highest technical superiority.

The Company has undertaken various measures to effectively control pollution at source, at the treatment stage and at the disposal stage. Effective and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities is considered a priority area at the Company.
